Newington Causeway

Friel Welch was appointed to provide Gateway 2 delivery support, programme management and technical coordination for the Newington Causeway development in London, a major mixed-use scheme comprising 243 PBSA rooms and commercial space within a building ranging from three to eighteen storeys.

Our role focused on driving the project through Stage 3, Stage 4 and Building Safety Regulator Gateway 2 submission by managing programme, design coordination and reporting processes across the consultant and contractor team. This included developing the Gateway 2 programme, coordinating design deliverables and specialist contractor inputs, managing CDP and risk trackers, and implementing structured project reporting.

The project highlights Friel Welch's expertise in Gateway 2 delivery, technical coordination and programme leadership on complex high-rise residential developments operating within the Building Safety Act framework.
