The Riverside Spa completes the amenity offer at Heron Wharf

Friel Welch has completed the handover of the final phase of the resident facilities at Heron Wharf, the Riverside Spa. It marks the close-out of more than 18,000 sq ft of premium resident amenity delivered on behalf of specialist fit-out contractor Woodvalley.

The wider facilities bring together a gym and wellness suite, a private cinema, co-working spaces, a residents' lounge and concierge areas. The transformation from shell condition through to final handover reflects the scale of the work behind a scheme of this specification.

Our role covered integrated design, cost and project management across the delivery: delivery strategy and programme management, contractor-led design coordination, procurement, commercial management and oversight through to handover. Coordinating specialist packages to a tier-one developer standard, while holding programme and cost, is the discipline that turns a shell into a finished amenity space.

The scheme is our second major fit-out completed with Woodvalley, following the residents' amenity hub at Alexandra Gate. Two schemes in, it is a partnership that continues to deliver complex amenity space to a high standard, and a fitting way to round off the work at Heron Wharf.
