Edward Friel is a founding director of Friel Welch, bringing an architectural background and experience of complex residential developments to the firm’s project management and design coordination work. For private clients and family offices, that combination helps connect the ambition for a home with the technical decisions needed to deliver it.
Ed studied at the Royal College of Art and UCL and qualified as an architect. He worked at Turner Works and Jestico + Whiles before joining the Berkeley Group. During six years at Berkeley, he oversaw the completion of several complex developments and progressed to leading the design and technical team on a multi-phase, mixed-use regeneration project in London.
At Friel Welch, Ed’s design and technical experience complements Adam Welch’s commercial background. The firm provides project management, design coordination and cost management for private homes, working alongside clients’ architects, interior designers and specialist advisers.
