Friars Close

Friel Welch was appointed to provide technical delivery support for Friars Close, a new 22-storey residential development in Southwark comprising 149 homes, community accommodation and landscaped external areas.

Our role includes reviewing design packages, coordinating technical information, identifying gaps and risks, and supporting the project team in progressing compliant, coordinated information through delivery. The commission also involves working within the project’s Building Safety Act and Gateway 2 requirements, including review of design information, change control and Golden Thread records.

The appointment reflects Friel Welch’s technical delivery capability on complex, higher-risk residential developments, supporting contractor and consultant teams in resolving design issues and maintaining momentum through construction.
