Ox Farmyard

Friel Welch completed its appointment as project manager for Ox Farmyard in the Cotswolds: the conversion of a Grade II listed range of barns into five bespoke homes. Our role combined design, project management and cost management, coordinating complex internal structural works, high-end finishes and the requirements of multiple stakeholders and purchasers.

Our role as project manager

For a client undertaking a substantial residential project in listed buildings, technical decisions and the needs of the people involved must be considered together. At Ox Farmyard, our appointment brought the design, delivery and commercial requirements into one coordinated role.

Design coordination: bringing together complex internal structural works and the requirements of high-end finishes within the existing barns.
Project management: coordinating delivery requirements alongside the needs of multiple stakeholders and purchasers.
Cost management: providing commercial input alongside design and project management within the same appointment.
